Railways Ticket can now be transferred to another person, Here is How
The Indian Railways have issued new guidelines and gave a relief, allowing people to transfer their confirmed reserved ticket to another family member, be it father, mother spouse, or children.
The new guideline released by the Railways says: “Chief Reservation Supervisor of important stations is authorized by Railway Administration to permit the change of name of a passenger having a seat or berth reserved in his name.”
If you are a government servant, you can make written request 24 hours before the train’s departure. The name on the ticket will be changed to another person’s name.
If the passenger is a student of a recognized educational institute, the head of the institution can make a written request before 48 hours following which the name of the student can be transferred to any other student of the same institution.
According to the report, National Cadet Corps members can also avail it by making a written request 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
Govt to Pay Full Pension to Soldiers who guarded and Died or Injured at Sino-India Border
Those who are guarding the Sino-India border and killed or injured will be paid full pension by the government. The development comes eight months after the Doklam standoff. According to the report, The ‘liberalised family pension’ was only applicable to the armed forces personnel deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border with Pakistan.
The Defence Ministry issued a notification on Friday saying, the family pension scheme for the armed forces personnel deployed along the Sino-India border will come into effect from March 7. It also added that the cases that were settled prior to the notification will not be “reopened”.
This pension scheme provides for 100 percent of the last “Reckonable” emoluments. The families of the soldiers were previously entitled to 30 percent of the last emoluments, officials said.
The official said, “India has been sending provocative signals to China since the Doklam standoff of summer 2017, which makes the already soured Sino-Indian relationship more fragile.”
PM Modi welcomes French President Emmanuel Macron
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at the Airport on Friday, who is in India for four days visit. The French President Macron is accompanied by wife Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron and many other cabinet ministers.
After receiving Macron, PM Modi tweeted: “Welcome to India, President @EmmanuelMacron! Your visit will add great strength to the strategic partnership between India and France. I look forward to our talks tomorrow.”
“Looking forward to co-chairing the Founding Conference of the International Solar Alliance with President @EmmanuelMacron on 11th March. The ISA is a unique effort that brings the world together to harness solar energy and create a cleaner as well as greener future,” he further added.
With the French President’s arrival in India, both the two countries looking forward to strengthening the “bilateral economic, political and strategic dimension”.
According to the report, French President, expected to hold delegation-level talks along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. He will also take part in a Town Hall and have an interactive session, in which nearly 300 students from different institutions are expected to participate.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife summoned by Thane Crime Branch in Connection with CDR
‘Thackeray’ star Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife have been summoned by Thane’s crime branch in connection with a Call Data Records (CDR) racket that was exposed in January. The duo has been summoned after some of the arrested accused had told the police that an advocate named Rizwan Siddiqui was asked to obtain the CDR of the actor’s wife from private detectives. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been called to record a statement by Thane crime branch in Maharashtra.
The matter is part of the larger CDR leakage racket that involved private detectives illegally sourcing CDR of people for their clients. Thane’s crime branch has arrested 11 in this connection, so far. “We arrested 11 people and after interrogating three, we found that an advocate named Rizwan Siddiqui extracted CDR of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife.”
Deputy Commissioner of police (crime) Abhishek Trimukhi told media person. The actor’s lawyer is said to have obtained the CDR with the help of one Prashant Palekar who was arrested by Thane crime branch last month.
Dilip Vengsarkar Appointed as Chief Mentor of T20 Mumbai League
Dilip Vengsarkar, former Indian cricket team captain has been appointed as the chief mentor of the T20 Mumbai League, which is likely to be played in Mumbai between March 11-21. The announcement was made by the Mumbai Cricket Association and Probability Sports India Private Limited (PSIPL).
The former cricketer Vengsarkar, fondly called ‘colonel’, has also represented Mumbai and later India and also served as the Chairman of the Selection Committee.
On his appointment, Vengsarkar said, “As the Chief Mentor, I aim to encourage and nurture young cricketers for successful performances on home turf. This is a great platform for Mumbai cricketers to shine and make a mark early on in their careers, leading to a promising future.”
According to PTI news, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been appointed as the ambassador of the League while legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar will be the League Commissioner.
