Coca cola

Coca cola also known as Coke is one of the most famous soft drink brand in India. Its name originates from its two major ingredients Kola Nuts and Coca Leaves but yet the formula remains a ads company secret. Coca cola has produced multiple iconic coco cola ads. It has featured famous celebrities such as Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others. From start, Coca cola has tried to make commercials funny and attractive to attract new customers.

So the list of Coca cola advertisement we put together is a treat to watch partly for the glimpse of life during another era, but mostly because these coco cola ads always managed to make us smile, no matter how cheesy or dated they were.

Here is a list of Actors who were the part of historic Coca cola ad campaigns:

Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Ad Campaign

Coke re-entered India with the “Jo Chaaho Ho Jaaye, Coca cola Enjoy”  ad campaign. It was a Heart-throb feeling to see Hrithik Roshan shooting with the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai for coca cola advertisement. In this Ad, It is a typical college campus set, with lots of students around. While some are wearing yellow, the others are dressed in green. The trademark red of Coca cola is conspicuously absent. The elections to the Students’ Council are on. Rohit (Hrithik) and Tina (Aishwarya) have locked horns for the top place in the Council. But the million-dollar question. Who wins the election? Neither Hrithik nor Aishwarya. Coca Cola does!

Aamir Khan Double Role Ad Campaign

Aamir Khan gets all naughty (in a good way) in this amazing Coca cola commercial. It was Aamir khan’s first coca cola ad playing a double role. During 1998, he can been seen trying to snatch Coke from his body double.

Aamir Khan Tapori Ad Campaign

Aamir khan can be seen as Mumbai ‘tapori‘ asking for his ‘thanda‘ (Coca cola)drink at a local eatery. The commercial became hugely popular and started a trend called Thanda matlab Coca cola.

Aamir Khan Nepali Ad Campaign

Aamir Khan was the cutest Nepali tourist guide in this particular commercial. Initially, he shows the couple the locations properly but when they refuse this cute guide ‘a thanda’, it’s hilarious to watch how he takes them further. But at the end, he manages to get the ‘thanda’ he wanted and also says Thanda matlab Coca Cola. In tne ending the Thanda song he sings is inspired by Bedu Pako Baramasa Uttrakhandi Folk Song.

Aamir Khan Punjabi Jatt Ad Campaign

They meet Aamir Khan and when they ask him for thanda! Aamir takes out a bucket filled Coca cola from well.

Aamir Khan Bengali Babu Ad Campaign

In 2007, when the pesticides controversy broke in the country, Aamir, instead of nullify his contract with the brand, chose to stay with them. He donned a critical and ‘typical’ Bengali man’s hat and questioned the drink.

It was a strategic characterization because this ad questioned the brand itself. It questioned, reasoned, and understood – three stages of human understanding of anything contentious. When the actor in the ad was satisfied, he drank. Something that every consumer would have done if the drink allegedly had pesticides.

Aamir Khan Japanese Ad Campaign

Pretending to be Japanese while playing Chinese music in this commercial. From this commercial the term Thanda Samosa got famous. You can still see Thanda Samosa poster on dhabas and many shops.

Aamir Khan Sab ka thanda ek Ad Campaign

After having made ‘Thanda’ synonymous with Coca Cola, in 2007 Coke launched the “Sabka Thanda Ek” campaign. The campaign was designed to build the Coke brand from its refreshment platform.According to Prasoon Joshi, “The sheer power of the Coca Cola brand lies in its universal appeal. The creative challenge was to come up with a campaign, which clearly brings out this universal appeal. While doing so, care needed to be taken to ensure a higher order of emotional benefit for the consumer. The campaign captures all these emotions in a very entertaining and engaging manner.”
