  • Then, focus on an object, which needs to be placed almost 10–20 feet in front of you. Without moving your head, focus on the object for 10–15 seconds.
  • After spending 10–15 seconds, refocus on your thumb.

5. Practice zooming with your eyes:

This is a good eye focusing exercise, as you have to constantly adjust how well you can focus on an object from certain distances.

  • Sit on a chair in a comfortable position before starting exercise.
  • Stretch out your arm with your thumb in the hitchhiking position (thumbs up).
  • Just focus on your thumb. Then, bring the thumb closer to you, focusing until your thumb is about 3 inches closure to your face.
  • Again take your thumb away until your arm is fully outstretched.

According to the recently conducted study, People with multiple sclerosis who do eye movement exercises may feel firmly fixed on their feet and experience less tired and dizziness.

The study conducted was based on 88 adults with Multiple sclerosis who were able to walk 100 meters assisted with a cane if necessary. Half of them were randomly selected to participate in a supervised exercise program, while the remaining were put on a waiting list.

In the beginning of the study, researchers gave all of the participant’s computer-based balance tests. None of the 88 participants scored 90 out of 100 that are typical for healthy adults without balance issues.

Little by little, however, average scores reportedly increased more for the exercise group. While both groups started with scores around 62-63, those in the exercise group rose to an average of 73, compared with an increase to 66 in the other group.
