As you all may have figured out, the trio in question is Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, who will be seen on the celluloid after six years. The last time the world saw them on the silver screen was in maverick filmmaker Yash Chopra’s swan-song, Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012.

This time, their dynamics and characters will be drastically different from what we saw in that film. It’s an open secret that Khan will be portraying the role of a dwarf who reportedly worships Katrina Kaif, who shall be playing herself. The grapevine suggests it was Salman Khan who recommended Kaif’s name to the makers. Nothing wrong at all, however, Kaif is yet to deliver something that can be called as a flesh and blood performance. Known for scintillating and scorching the screen with her smoldering persona, there’s no evidence needed for her stardom, but we still have no proof that she can act.

All her contemporaries and even the actors who started much after her, all have consolidated their positions in the industry as dependable and dazzling performers. Be it Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt or Anushka Sharma.

Meanwhile, Sharma will be seen opposite the leading man for the third time.

Currently working with the actor on Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama which is yet to be finalized for its title, it’ll be intriguing to observe how the two collaborate for their hat-trick.

Directed by Anand L. Rai, who has carved a niche for himself after three consecutive successes- Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Raanjhanaa (2013) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), this is the one film one would await with bated breaths.

Releasing on the 21st of December, 2018, it may clash with Tiger Shroff’s Rambo, as the makers are planning to release the remake of the Hollywood film during the Christmas weekend.
