Dear Censor Board,

It’s high time to uplift your mentality and raise your bar of selection because under your pants every male is lusty and every female is seductive. As sex is a biological need of a human and it comes naturally. You can either provoke a person but, can’t force somebody to be your bed partner. But, I believe you don’t have enough guts to accept the reality that’s why you; the Central Board of Film Certification in India didn’t clear a movie like ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’; a movie which got screened at the 15th edition of Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles(IFFLA) earlier. This movie was also officially selected at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Lipstick Under My Burkha, a movie starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur directed by Alankrita Shrivastava and produced by Prakash Jha is  crafted on the notions and emotions of a girl. Sexuality, the capacity of a human being to have erotic experiences. And everyone has a different urge and satisfaction level. We are nobody to judge a person on the behalf of sexuality. However being a girl I feel, in the era of sexual assault a movie like ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ is required. Because a man is coward nowadays. Just to fulfill his lust he does it forcefully and I am astonished age is no bar for a man. So, in this era when a girl is so scared in opening up with a man, I request the censor board to open up and allow such movies which are meant to uplift the society from its orthodox approach. The movies meant for women empowerment and take care of a woman’s emotions as well. Because it takes an enormous courage for actors as well to perform such erotic scenes in front of so many people. So, dear censor board just think about this.

In the end, I must say I am glad we have an internet connection otherwise being dependent upon the censor board, we girls must have missed trailer of a wonderful movie like ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’.

However, before summing up my article I have following questions to be answered:

Question 1: Though you have approved the movie but why it took you so long?

Question 2: Aren’t you ready to accept your emotions or not willing to do so?
