Priyanka Chopra has undoubtedly had a roller-coaster journey from Bihar to Bollywood. Hailing from Jamshedpur, she had aspirations of performing before the camera and ruling the celluloid. As fate would have it, she bagged her first film, The Hero- Love Story of a Spy, directed by Gadar fame Anil Sharma.
Released exactly 14 years ago, that is 11th of April, 2003, there was no stopping this debutant.

Her claim to fame, however, was the Abbas- Mastan directorial Aitraaz (2004). With this courtroom drama, Chopra became the second only female actor after Kajol to win the Filmfare Award for the Best Actor in a Negative Role.
Ever since then, she’s been one of the most dependable and dazzling performers of the industry. With powerful characters like Meghna in Fashion (2008), Sweety in Kaminey (2009), Jhilmil in Barfi (2012) and Mary Kom in her first eponymous release in 2012, Chopra has truly carved a niche for herself.

But this is just half the information. For anyone who isn’t aware, she was crowned the Miss World in 2000, was one of the presenters at The Academy Awards, made her singing debut with In My City, her maiden single that became a domestic and international success. Wait, there’s more, she even recorded a song with the Pop Sensation, Pitbull and became the first Indian celebrity to appear on the Ellen D Genres’ show.

And now, after the staggering success of her debut TV Series, Quantico, she’s all set for her first Hollywood film, Baywatch, where she plays the antagonist.

Doesn’t she have an enviable repertoire ? Most of them would agree. At least, we do.
